Chef Teddy Bests Bobby Flay
If you missed the Food Network's Throwndown that aired last night you might not know that Dr. Graniville's own Chef Teddy Folkman won. A big congrats to Folkman for taking the prize. Check out Dr. Granville Moore's any night of the week [but expect a wait during peak hours] for the best mussels in town. I also adore the bison burger. I order it rare, and it is the best burger I've ever had. Dr. Granville's is located at 1238 H Street.

If you missed the original run you can still catch the other air dates-

I admire the Pink Ladies' efforts to broaden the rehearsal dinner horizons (mine was in a pretty unique spot, I'm proud to say), but I don't think this one is quite on the mark.
I love Granville Moore's to death, but it would be really tough to get anything in the way of a rehearsal dinner-sized party in there.
And I have to think it would be a bit cost-prohibitive to rent out even one floor of GM's for a weekend night, considering how much business they would be turning away to accommodate it.
Still - I wouldn't have guessed anyone would even be THINKING about any of our H Street venues in these terms for at least another 5 years.
Thanks again, Teddy!

Amy and husband Jason Storch (founder of local food blog www.dcfoodies.com) were the judges for the show. Sound like the best man/moules definitely won. Go Teddy!
