So if I'm reading this correctly the only people that have competition are are 5B02,5B05,6A06?
That's a lot of incumbents left without any opponents that must be doing a heck of a job!
So Mr. Hooper picked up a petition? He says he doesn't want the job.
I'm impressed that there is only ONE vacancy, and this is because she's about to move out of DC. It seems to be a thankless volunteer job.

(There, now it's not thankless.)
PS: If anyone is interested, I googled some of the candidates. A certain non-incumbent has a history of suing his competition when he loses! And that's about ALL I could find out about him on the web.

Could you be talking about a certain candidate that appeared nude and waving a gun in the middle of the street? Should be a police record of that incident.
I recall that incident. Around 14th and E wasn't it?

Anon, I'm fairly new to DC, so don't know of that incident! But I googled the full name- with a Sr. at the end. perhaps the news media didn't sue the "Sr."
I don't recall the name of the individual involved, so I can't vouch for that. But I do recall the Post story about a naked man waving a gun in the street and a large number of police officers responding. I also seem to recall that the man was either an acting ANC, or a former ANC. I think this may have occurred around 2003, or 2004.
