Anyone know where his two new projects (the Italian place and steak place) will be going?

Not on Parker - they're planned for the 1300 block, roughly across from Joy of Motion.

Combined with H Street Country Club they'll go a long way toward connecting the Argonaut, Sova and the Rock n Roll Hotel with the rest of the Atlas District establishments into one four-block stretch that should benefit all of them.

So so so cool! Man, I have a feeling this will eventually be one of the coolest neighborhoods in ANY city.

This is what happens when you have creative, dedicated small businesses. Kudos to Joe, Anwar, and all others dedicated to H Street (putting their money where my mouth is).

Wow, amazing. In the mean time let's get out and spend some cash at the places that are already open.

I think there should be some kind of "Neighborhood Night" or "Northeast Night" that all H St places take part in. Could be another promotion like the first Thursdays. If your driver's license is from the area, you get discounts on that night. Or there could be a loyalty card that's honored in all the places on H.

Re: First Thursdays, one thing they do in other DC-metro-area nbhds on First Thursday is encourage neighborhood musicians to set up on sidewalks, stoops/porches, empty lots, etc. along the commercial drag where First Thursday is celebrated. No busking allowed -- just come and play if you want to play. I've done this a few times in Del Ray with friends who live in that neighborhood. I think this would be really cool on H for First Thursday, but I bet there's some District legislation that would forbid it.

Don't worry Chris, you can sing and scream and amplify as long and as loud as you want until 9 or 10pm! After that, I recommend unplugging.

Ok, now I get it. Good info above the Vendetta piece about Ann Cashion and the H Street Country Club. I'd heard a bunch of times that she'd be doing the food there, which seemed awfully suprising. So it's Teddy Folkman doing food in an Ann Cashion style. Now it makes sense. (And I'm not complaining. I like Folkman's food.)

Great, then don't go, it'll leave an extra booth for the rest of us. While you're home grousing, the rest of us will be tap dancing.

Hopefully some of Joe's new places will be for grown-ups.
