mannnn, why is every new restaurant popping up in the area so expensive and upscale. I can't afford any of these places, guess it's not for me anyway, what am i thinkin lol!

anonymous 1:41pm -- Napa's not new; those prices are certainly high for H Street, but they're in line with what they've had for the last year. And what's "expensive and upscale" -- that is, what price range are you looking for? Tropicana recently opened across the street from Napa -- they and Naby's Island both have entrees < $12. Stuff like meatloaf and chicken parm at XII isn't too expensive.

And if you like Ice Cream and other desserts, Sweets & Treats is reasonable...so skip dinner and go straight for dessert. :-)

S&T is open til 9, too. Forget the boutique cupcake places in Georgetown...I'll take a place where the mixer is on the counter and the cupcakes are being frosted right in front of you while you eat your ice cream.

or Just eat at Horace and Dickies for 6 bucks.

Or eat an excellent cheese steak at Philadelphia Water Ice for less than $10.

I have eaten at Napa 4 times and it was horible each time. With that said, teh new menu might get me to give them ONE last shot

Looks like there's a lot to like about this menu, but the price points still feel high.

I'm willing to give it a shot, but I'm still going to need some convincing before I drop $16 or $18 for an entree - just like I did before I decided I really like Granville Moore's and I'm kind of a fan of Sticky Rice, as well.

Napa is great as long as the fat lady from I street is not cooking. Her cooking reminds me of a grandmonther's sloppily made awful recipe!

I was there tonight for the re-opening free glass of champagne and a great salmon cake appetizer. I spent $5 and met up with some old and new neighbors. Napa is a v. nice place with a friendly staff and $5-$10 for a post-work drink is not bad at all

Mike2..who are you referring to?

This blog is often as inconsistent and hypocritical as the Right-wing of the Republican Party:

I posted a question one time under a picture legitimatly inquiring if the dancer was a man or a woman and it was taken down deemed as
"cruel and insensitive".

Now Mike2 says, " Napa is great as long as the fat lady from I street is not cooking. Her cooking reminds me of a grandmonther's sloppily made awful recipe!"

That "fat lady" is my grand-ma-ma and I find your comments as hurtful as I'm sure her empoyeer NAPA finds them offensive!

If we're to be consistent on this blog, this insensitive comment about some woman who happens to cook at NAPA should come down immediatly. If you don't like the cooking, tell Jorge and let him handle it or don't go back, but please don't attack my dear, sweet, plump, memaw.

I have eaten at Napa 1015, more than a dozen times, there is no female chef or cook working there. Someone has a personal problem going on here.

Went to Sweets & Treats tonight and the place is great...
