Spanning a 20 year period of tumultuous social change, Second Line is the story of two black college students whose lives are shaped by the stormy events of the 1960s and 70s. Although deeply in love, Bennie and JoJo find their commitment to each other challenged by tough choices that force them to reexamine what they have at stake personally in the civil rights movement and the Vietnam conflict.
