More on the Holbrook Shooting

FATAL SHOOTING ON HOLBROOK STREET, NE

Washington, DC – Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch are currently investigating a homicide that occurred on Holbrook Street, NE.

At approximately 5:45 am on Friday, October 3, 2008, members of the Fifth District and D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department personnel responded to an apartment in the 1400 block of Holbrook Street, NE to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body and head.

The victim, identified as 46-year-old Andre L. Judd, of the 1400 block of Holbrook Street, NE, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:18 am.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

Since a human life was lost I feel the need to at the very least honor that with a comment. I know it's not as important as a shell gas station, the Florida Ave Markt or something on H. But perhaps a human life does have value.
