Sweet!! I was just at Sidamo and could have sworn that the "workers" were hanging out and drinking beer. We'll be there tonight.

Just went there tonight, which was actually my first time ever - never made it there before the renovation. I really like the place. My wife and I will definitely be back!

I too stopped in to have a look; they did an amazing job on the renovation! Two complaints: 1)it doesn't need to be 80 degrees in the bar, and 2) $6 for a bottle of Sam Adams will correlate to a waste of money on renovations, as it only takes once to sour a patron's impression.

I think 5-6 for Sam Adams is pretty standard. It's a "premium" beer.

I stopped by there on Saturday night. The place looks wonderful. The menu is expanded and even offers a veggie burger! They say they plan to have live music, maybe even as early as Wednesday. It's really great to have some nightlife on the west side of H street :)

That's fantastic news. I can't wait to stop by. I've seen some people in there the last few nights and I am looking forward to being one of them. I hope the previous commenter is right about the live music. That is a major plus.

Good for them. the old decor was pretty bleak. look forward to checking back in. 6 bucks for the sam adams doesn't offend... the old faded red window seats that used to be there - way worse.

The co-owners mentioned that they are working on upgrading the upstairs and turning it into a dance club.

Actually, upstairs will be a lounge with love seats and oversized chairs and a small bar. it's target completion is sometime in May. The owners said they will also have outside patio seating on the 5th street size. This is a completely different place!!!

Completely different environment. Great renovations. There are still a few kinks, but considering new equipment and new staff, it was a good night.
