Did anyone else hear loud noises last night around 1:30 AM? I live on Florida and heard rapid succession of what sounded like gun fire. Anyone know what happened?

Yeah it was gunfire. On the corner of 13th and I street. The cops showed up pretty quickly, but I'm not sure they caught anyone. Didn't seem like anyone was injured, thankfully.

Looks like it's gotten warm enough for the bad guys to come out and play again.

I street,
thanks for the information. I'm glad no one was hurt. With the amount of shots fired, I'm not sure a person would live through getting shot that many times...

There is a house on 13th between I and Florida that has been on and off the market for a couple years now (the big blue one). There are a few random dudes that have been living there and one guy in particular is always hanging out in front of the Black Supermarket. Random people are often playing cards out front or rolling up in cars blasting music.

None of the people I have seen at the house have ever bothered us or seemed to be doing anything illegal, but we always get a sense that something shady is happening. One of the cops that hangs out at the Pug said they had the house under surveillance at one point.

Not sure if this was related to the gunfire last night but I would not be surprised.

Could be the case but it's tough to speculate. I know that house you're talking about, obviously, but I haven't seen anyone hanging out there.

I wish I'd had the balls to peer out my window for a longer period to see if I could see anything more specific but, honestly, when I saw the flash of the gunfire, that was about enough for me.

I've not seen anyone around the Black Supermarket either, but thanks for the heads up.

Is there anywhere online to get more info about this (ie, what the results of any investigation were)?
