Info on the Police Involved Shooting @2nd & K

Apparently the Park Police responded to a report of a man with a gun, and the suspect then tried to flee the police in a car. The suspect hit something with his car, and then struck an officer with that car when the officer approached. Police opened fire. The suspect then made a u-turn and tried to hit the officers again. They fired again and struck the suspect. The suspect drove off, but hit another police cruiser about a block away. He was apprehended and taken two the hospital (he suffered multiple gunshot wounds). Neither the suspect, nor the officer struck by the vehicle sustained life threatening injuries. This information came from the Park Police pressroom blog.

WUSA9 reports on the story.
