New Location for Spoiled & Rotten

A weird schedule over the past week has put me a little behind on news. Here are some recent photos of the grand opening (it moved to 1012 H Street) of the Spoiled & Rotten Kids spa and boutique.
The owner was kind enough to pass along a few photos.

There were kids actually fighting in front of the place the other day and we witnessed one girl push another into the treebox in front of the store.
so, actually this place could be for spoiled and rotten kids.

This place is so creepy in a Jon-Benet Ramsey kind of way.

I gotta say, like the two commenters prior, I am having a hard time getting down with this concept too. I just cannot wrap my booze addled brain around the concept of parents over indulging their children at a place that proudly declares over indulgence to be the mission.

Whatever.

Parents that take their kids to a place like this clearly are at least involved in their kids' lives. Beats leaving them to the drugs/gangs that otherwise might find them. Spoil away!

How is this place any different from Chuckie Cheese?

The pictures are very cute. And a very unique concept idea.

If you go to most suburban malls (like Columbia Mall in MD) you will see girls all done up from stores like this. It's a growing trend for children, so why not on H Street? I think more businesses for children are needed on the Hill.

With that said, thank goodness I only have a son.

But Moooooooom! Everyone is doing it!

Has anyone ever seen that "Stupid Spoiled Whore" episode of South Park?

Restaurant Refugee - I honestly can't tell if your being sarcastic or agreeing.

I always love the ridiculous jump people make to kids hanging out on corners in gangs doing drugs and shooting up the neighborhood. You skipped like 18 steps between saying this place is creepy and talking about the moral decay of youth.

It's just nail polish and face painting, kept in perspective it is a totally reasonable thing to do once in a while with a little girl...it doesn't have to be Jon benet stuff. Of course there is a fine line when you are dealing with body image and fashion and things like this with little girls especially but I see no harm in a little bit if this kind of thing...

She also has a nice selection of clothes for boys and girls as well.

I have no daughters but I have friends who do and take the girls here for a once in a while treat.

I have not been to the video game lounge yet but I can only imagine that boys would find it totally awesome.

Give me a break...people tend to take things out of context....Bussiness like this is what will make H street a unique destination.Corridors that are successful through out the US,offers something for everbody ie;South Street-Philly,5 Points-Atlanta,Williamsburg-NYC,just to name a few.

Why would anyone be against this place? It's a unique business that doesn't have a rusted steel gate pulled down over it every night, doesn't sell fried food behind bulletproof glass, make payday loans, or sell wigs. It belongs here along the other unique businesses like Palace of Wonders and H Street Country Club.

this is a unique business on h street

we need more like it!

please bring on the unique small businesses instead of the bland chain stores!

all the kids look like they're having a great time. i know a few parents from diverse backgrounds who have gone to check the spa/clothing boutique out and the response has been favorable across the board.

i walked in and took a look around. the staff was friendly and it had a nice design. the kids there seemed to enjoy the experience

this is a win-win for h street
