Pick-Up Soccer Game

IMG_5325
All ages and skill levels welcome.
--------------------------------
I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend. The weather is looking pretty bad at this point so I suggest we shoot for tomorrow night at Kingsman at 6:30.
We found out last week that there's another huge group that plays weekly (usually Tuesdays) at Kingsman and the field at 19th and Constitution NE (between Constitution and C Street). They were nice enough to let us play with them last week so I suggest we do the same if our numbers are low this week. If you come to Kingsman and don't find people playing there, head over to 19th and Constitution.
We are still trying to lock down a regular weekly spot. Thanks to those who have sent me suggestions. Until Sherwood is ready again, it looks like we've got some pretty good options.
5/27/09
6:30 pm
Kingsman Field
D Street NE, between 13th and Tennessee
See you then, weather permitting.

Omar,
Is there a way to get on the direct email list for these games?

You can either show up, or email Omar at familymahmud[at]yahoo.com.

Are you really looking for all skill levels? I have no skill level but would be open to coming.

Major work going on at the former Sun & Moon grocery at 14th/H.

That place was such an eyesore, and this is very exciting progress.

Anyone know if this is still going to be an Agelico pizzeria or any further info? Specifically, anyone know what will happen with those garages in the back?

Well, we were a little bit late, but there was no one at either field. We'd love to play if this becomes a regular thing. If there is a way to get on a direct email list, or if Frozen Tropics will post this every week, that would be awesome! Thanks!

Angelico still has H St. as a "coming soon" location. But at the Ohio.

Sun & Moon will become Angelico Pizzeria. The owners have come into Sova a number of times, and recently, much more often as they've been doing work in the space.

For a preview, their website is :

Thanks, Frank.

Any news on the Radius? Prince of Petworth suggests that the project might be on hold...

Went to the soft opening of HstCC last night. Place looks great, cool luck in both the upstairs and downstairs. Didn't eat, but the margaritas were very good (and curiously strong). The course needs some tweaking, not everything was ready, but it's without question a work of art. and easily the most difficult putt putt course I've ever seen. Enjoy the reflecting pool hole.

I suspect there will be lots of "constructive critics" who will bash the place initially but that's the nature of opening a place. I suspect it will easily be the most popular of the H St bars and it has the space for it. Great job guys.

Hello everyone,

Just a reminder that we're playing tonight (see details in the posting). ALL are more than welcome to come out so don't be shy. Great way to get some exercise and meet a few of your neighbors.

kenny g,
Radius does seem to be somewhat on hold (from what I've heard), but that doesn't mean the project is off. Just a bit in limbo for now.
