Bruce Robey, Voice of the Hill Founder, Dies at 65
Bruce Robey, who helped start the Voice of the Hill, and the H Street Playhouse died of heart attack last night. He will be sorely missed. DCist reports. WTOP also has up a nice Tribute.
I am near to tears to learn about Bruce's death. He was a great friend to everyone on the Hill and it seems that everyone who knew him was a friend. He was always so happy to help; in fact, I remember his helping us by taking some pictures for our adoption letter so many years ago! I am so sad at his loss. Adele, our hearts go out to you.
If anyone has information on viewing/memorial service, can you please post it?
Bruce was an amazing community advocate in Capitol Hill and later in the H Street community. Our neighborhood owes so much to the steady work of Bruce and Adele over the past ten years.
Memorial Tribute and Celebration of Bruce Robey's life: Sunday, October 4 - 7pm - H Street Playhouse - 1365 H Street, NE. All are invited. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Capitol Hill Community Foundation.
Guys, please be polite. Remember that these people are your neighbors. I ask also that anonymous users leave some kind of tag [e.g. big green cat] for the sake of being able to follow a thread. Be respectful and have fun.

Bruce and Adele have done so much for this community. They have been, for lack of a better term, model citizens.
ReplyDeleteThis community is a much better place because of them.
I saw this on Facebook this morning:
