Me too. I thought a couple of the bands were awesome. There was a great funk band down on 14th and a group of five young guys who were bringing back the Temptations with choreographed moves and everything. Those kids were awesome and I heard they live in the neighborhood.
A bit unrelated, but I bought an Italian sub from Taylors last week and was sorely disappointed. Probably has to do with the fact that the bread was HUGE, and the proscuitto in the display case did not look anything like Italian. I think it was made by Sysco in Texas or something. Are they concentrating on the K street Location that they stop caring for the quality at the H street shop?
H St Related: the new sidewalks have begun to go in down around the 400 block. They're light tan. Here's a photo but check it out for yourself. There are also places where the same stuff has gone in up at the starburst intersection.
Guys, please be polite. Remember that these people are your neighbors. I ask also that anonymous users leave some kind of tag [e.g. big green cat] for the sake of being able to follow a thread. Be respectful and have fun.
I had a blast at the festival...I cant wait for next year.
