More to the point, I asked and there were no reservations at Napa for Saturday night and they are normally closed on Sunday and Monday. They would have lost a lot of money opening on a holiday weekend with no guaanteed customers. On the plus side, the owners and staff got a much needed break, and we locals got to try another spot. Comments posted elsewhere on this blog point out that many businesses that we love and that appear to be doing ok are really just barely hanging on. It would be more constructive to try and support them by being a patron rather than making snarky comments.
Guys, please be polite. Remember that these people are your neighbors. I ask also that anonymous users leave some kind of tag [e.g. big green cat] for the sake of being able to follow a thread. Be respectful and have fun.
they must be doing really well! that's great! i won't have to frequent them that much anymore.
