Revamp, Refocus, Relaunch
That is the title of a recent Facebook announcement from Langston Bar and Grille. The intimate gathering place has hired Executive Chef Sammy Davis to remake the service, menu, and look of the space (1831 Benning Road).

What do people think about walking to this place from 14th & H? I walk to Hechinger Mall, but haven't walked further east, and I'm curious about this place.
I live just around the corner from this place (I'm just north of Benning). I don't think it's safe to walk from my place to the Argonaut alone at night. (I'm a woman, if that makes a difference) But I do the walk gladly in the daylight, or in a group.
I've eaten at this place once - for brunch - and the food was excellent, but the seating was difficult. Other than the bar, there aren't any real tables. We ate upstairs, but on what amounted to coffee tables. With the large plates that they serve, this was particularly awkward. The service was friendly and efficient.
We've had great carryout dinners from there, but I did wonder about the seating situation. They have a new deck on the second level that looks like a good place on a nice night.
I'm confused. Is it closed during this revamp? If not, what are the hours of operation? Is the menu that's currently online the relaunch or dead in the water menu?

If Sammy Davis can cook as well as he sings and dances, it should be a winner!
I live at 5th and H N.E.,This is a little distance from my place.None the less,I plan to patronize Langston.I heard the food is pretty good.
The dinner is excellent and price is right. They sure could use some more space as the only real seating is at the bar.

Neither the restaurant's website nor the blog has been updated to indicate any changes.
Why cant bussiness do simple things, like make sure the web site is working and updated ?
Try the Facebook page.

Or, like making sure there is a place to sit in a restaurant.
