  1. This place sounds like it might actually be really cool. The space at the back of the restaurant looks like its coming along nicely. I work at one of the bars on H Street, and wonder about applying for a job there. Any other H Street bartenders out there thought about the same thing? They're sure to make some serious bank.

  2. Are they planning on allowing dogs in the Bier Garten? (One of the things I love about Europe is how dogs are allowed everywhere.. would be nice to have another here :) )

  4. Hey if you're a bartender there do you have to wear Lederhosen and wear clodhoppers?.

  5. Sounds fantastic. I would love it if they allow dogs too - sort of the same atmosphere at Wonderland and it seems to work well there. I can't wait for a manly beer!

  7. Good luck, Chris, I'm sure we're all looking forward to it. Now, my request: pierogi. Maybe that's more Polish/Ukranian than German, but whatever - it's not like DC is awash in eastern european food.

Apparently there's plenty of pierogi in Baltimore, so you won't even have to look far.

  15. I hope this place can bring back some of the retro charm of Blob's Park in Jessup. I am sad to hear that place closed. The polka rocked! I loved watching the old couples in dirndls and lederhosen in perfect rhythm do a dance around the entire floor.

Blob's had great wursts of all kinds too. Spaten on tap (different varieties).
