Interesting approach. I drive by this building on my way to work and the daily construction going on at the end of K street corner. I look forward to Florida Ave having this same kind of renovation and development taking place. The sign on Florida Ave saying "you won't recognize this anymore" is starting to fade which isnt promising...

Any updates on the streetcars from the October news (http://greatergreaterwashington.org/tag.cgi?label=streetcars&primary=3862)?

This is great....Will there be a resturant...it would be great if we could something like a Bus Boys and Poets.....What Resturant would the neighborhood like to see ?

a martini bar/restaurant! just so that the existing one on H can vindicate itself by proving that they don't attract crime as long as they're not on H street!

the interns across the street would love it!

plus.. it's classy.

so, a martini joint it is, or....

maybe a jamaican food place?

they don't attract crime at all, as evidenced by their history on H street!

oh, and we don't have a nail salon nearby. maybe one of those too!

anything that doesn't upset those folks that are worried about the woes of gentrification.

a check cashing place would be cool too! BUT ONLY IF THEY HAVE NICE WALLPAPER! i hate those places that look so institutional. let's give it some character, folks!

It is unfortunate that this concept was bashed in Ward 7 when redeveloping a mixed use library at Minn-Benn was considered!
