Apparently there should be some top notch video floating around of the
mass Thriller re-enactment on Friday (I'm told they had cameras on top of the Pug). For now we have quick and dirty job from a bystander. But you get the idea (and I had heard about the guy with the glowing eyes).

Joy of Motion should be commented this. It was a lot of fun. It seemed to be not so well planned, but the lady with the mic (Quinn ???) saved the night, and got the show going. I'm hoping that it happens next year with a roped off area for the dancers. It was pretty amazing really.

600-700 people show up to see it.
A documentary film maker chronicles the whole thing and will release it on you tube.
Down for zero money and makes tons of people happy.
I think Margaret and Jen did plan it well and did it without spending the city or anybody else's money. Really a great thing.
Argh! I was bartending down the street! So mad I had to miss it.
It was awesome to see so many people come out for this event! It was one of the most unique events on Halloween and I'm happy that it occurred in our neighborhood. Congrats and thanks to Margaret and all of the other organizers who worked hard to put it together.
Showing my age here... but it kinda felt like the very early years of the high heel race. Good energy. Hope it happens again.

Joy of Motion's contribution was tremendous! Quynn Johnson was a fabulous MC, and the two Joy of Motion companies that performed, DCypher and Urban Impact were great.
H Street Main Street's involvement was invaluable, we could not have pulled it off without Anwar and Margaret. Auto Zone generously allowed us to use their parking lot and Andrew, owner of the soon-to-open-we-hope Drew (the restaurant going where the carpet store used to be), was so fabulous! He allowed us to use the building's power to run the sound.
Michael Skinner, from Pendragwn Productions videotaped it from the top of the Pug so we should get a good video soon. I now owe him countless beers.
The best part of the whole night for me was the crowd! all ages, from both the neighborhood and from all over...such a great energy!
My folks happened to be here from suburban New Jersey- in town for Halloween with their grandkids-They have never quite understood why we live here but I think after the Thriller experience they are starting to get it.
I think this should be made into a tradition, kind of like the High heels race. Every year a different song would be nice (not Thriller since it's been done this year). It has the potential to grow into something as big as the High heels race with the Mayor showing up to give his blessings.
I disagree with Neo- well I agree it should be done every year, but not with a different song. The high heel race is always with high heels. There is never a year when it's a work boot race, for example.
