In some of the SE quadrant areas, Ward 6 residents do not have to pay hourly rates. I anticipate (hope, trust, will watch to verify) that this is the case of the residential blocks off of H (IE, F, Maryland... and #'d streets).
Some form of update would be nice. Alternatively, day-time off-street parking for rent. Bidding starts now!
The guy quoted in the article is a transportation consultant "expert" He is our ANC rep. Like the METRO Board members, he doesn't take the bus but wants to eliminate bus stops,ect; Maybe more people will run for office and not just vote for people because they want a dog park.
This makes no sense. The proposed area is neither close to a metro station nor has office buildings. What a waste. Who comes up with this stuff?

It's not *entirely* clear what you two are bellyaching about. Could you be more specific?
The article is incorrect in stating between H and F. The actual limit requested was between G and I to cover the one block on either side of H Street where residents have expressed concern for the last few years they were being overparked at night by visitors to the H Street entertainment district.
For the anonymous person who is under the impression I don't like metro and seek to eliminate bus stops, that is a false impression. Feel free to contact me if you would like further clarification.

Are all the off-H-Street blocks surrounding the proposed meter area RPP? Will any meters replace RPP?

In Southwest, there are some Zone 6 Parking only areas.
