  1. Ugh. I'm not sure what's worse - this or kickball. The United Guerilla Front may need to add a new section to the website: www.dieyuppiekickball.com

And a Press release? How Corporate. :(

  2. How can something be "most" unique? If it's one-of-a-kind then it's unique. Something can't be extremely one-of-a-kind. And, I assure you, the H st. country club is not unique - see Brooklyn circa 5 years ago.

Also, I second the first post: AYKGF may need a sister AYSGF.

The only reason this could possibly be interesting or desireable is because of the general lameness of H ST NE and DC in general.

Its like saying: "I received the highest score on the test!" when you're in a remedial grammar class.

  5. Oh geez, lighten up. What about the bocce ball league in Capitol Hill, is that not acceptable either? The league sounds like a good time to me.

    oop oop:

give me a jingle when you need a reference to get those invasive worms out of your brain.

i'll even fly your parents out from west virginia to fight the medical treatement you so obviously need.

oh, and i'll take pictures of you in the surgery room, so we can put them in advertisements ... to avoid similar instances of folks wandering out in cow fields without the proper protection.

    you're welcome.

  7. to you DC and H street haters:

    Why knock H street down?
Yes we are happy that our neighborhood is transforming right before our eyes. And every little thing counts. We are not jaded. It takes a lot to change things.
If you think H street is so lame why are even reading this blog? Haven't you notice prior posts?

If DC sooooo lame and H street is soooo 5 years ago, go back to your studio apartment in DUMBO, Brooklyn.....we don't want you here.
Life is about choices. Move out!

    Goodbye

oop oop touched a nerve; analogous to that old children's game "Operation".

Looks like the funny bone was connected to the self-esteem bone, resulting in gratuitous deragatory references about oop oop's ancestors.

Alas, genetic lineage is not the least bit related to Skeeball at the "HSCC", unless you happen to be a bit insecure about your immediate territory.

As an aside, many read this blog because they stay tuned to happenings in all corners of this small city. Being informed rather than being provincial is tough to fathom for you insecure-types, isn't it?

That's right Oop! We're cool, we're urban, we play skeeball! We moved here from elsewhere, which makes us better than you, and better than the people who live in the place we came from!

Its true, because we told you so.

Now stay away from our echo chamber! 'Oops', I mean our blog.

  10. WHAT?
How is my comment related to oop oop's ancestry?

    I think you are projecting....

    whatever

  11. geez people.
dc will never be like new york. no place is as cool as new york. big deal.
but dc is a lot more interesting now than it was without these new places on h street.
we used to have only upscale restaurants, lame fudruckers type places and great ethnic dives in arlington. what we needed was exactly the types of places that are opening right in our backyard.

This is projecting. You create a false 'strawman' argument and then draw false conclusions.

Pointing out strawman arguments (such as yours) and concluding that the arguments stem from personal insecurity is not projecting, it is on point.

Everyone who doesn't like H St NE is a loser who lives in the basement of his parent's house in West Virginia!

You know its true because I'm cooler than you. You know that is true because I overpaid for 1200 square feet of living space in Adams Morgan 2. 'Oops', I mean HSTNE.

But it was soooo totally worth it! 'Cause I'm cool now. Get it?

  15. you not cool.

maybe i'll hire you one day.

    maybe not.

  16. Can't we all just get along?
We can meet at H Street Country Club!
There's nothing better to heal the divide than a game of skeeball.
