  3. Has anyone noticed the H Street red metal sign? It's hanging from one of the new street poles, on the north side of the old Amoco block just before the landmark condos. It's a cut out, and not very attractive to me. It sort of looks like a fish skeleton. It may have looked good on paper, but the end result is really ugly and ineffective as a street sign or logo.I'm hoping the Design Army did not do this.

  4. I like the red sign, but I also like fish skeletons. As long as the sign doesn't smell like rotting fish, I'm happy for it to stay.

  5. Is there a law that will prevent the car washing that takes place on H St., causes traffic backups, and frequently leaves a mess - as depicted in this picture. Surely it must be illegal and if it isn't it should be! This adds absolutely nothing to community improvement.

  6. What changes are coming to H street in 2010? I thought most were due for 2011, all the work on the street being completed and the demolishing of H street connection. Is there something coming for 2010 ?

  7. why should car washing be illegal?

isn't it a nice way to meet neighbors, talk with people, get your ride cleaned?

should lemonade stands be illegal too? must something always add to "community improvement" by your own personal metrics?

Guys, please be polite. Remember that these people are your neighbors. I ask also that anonymous users leave some kind of tag [e.g. big green cat] for the sake of being able to follow a thread. Be respectful and have fun.
