Has anyone noticed the H Street red metal sign? It's hanging from one of the new street poles, on the north side of the old Amoco block just before the landmark condos. It's a cut out, and not very attractive to me. It sort of looks like a fish skeleton. It may have looked good on paper, but the end result is really ugly and ineffective as a street sign or logo.I'm hoping the Design Army did not do this. red sign
Is there a law that will prevent the car washing that takes place on H St., causes traffic backups, and frequently leaves a mess - as depicted in this picture. Surely it must be illegal and if it isn't it should be! This adds absolutely nothing to community improvement.
What changes are coming to H street in 2010? I thought most were due for 2011, all the work on the street being completed and the demolishing of H street connection. Is there something coming for 2010 ?
Guys, please be polite. Remember that these people are your neighbors. I ask also that anonymous users leave some kind of tag [e.g. big green cat] for the sake of being able to follow a thread. Be respectful and have fun.
we'll see... either way, HAPPY 2010!
ReplyDeleteBe patient and deal with it... OR LEAVE!

I like the red sign, but I also like fish skeletons. As long as the sign doesn't smell like rotting fish, I'm happy for it to stay.

ReplyDeletewhy should car washing be illegal?
ReplyDeleteisn't it a nice way to meet neighbors, talk with people, get your ride cleaned?
should lemonade stands be illegal too? must something always add to "community improvement" by your own personal metrics?
