Spin for Haiti @Gallaudet
Gallaudet students and organizations have partnered with a fitness organization to organize this event which will raise money for organizations that aid the deaf community in Haiti. The event takes place on February 5th, and will continue for 24 hours. It's $10 to ride for 20 minutes. More details here.

Speaking of exercise, does anyone know of any plans for a full scale gym to move to the area. I am in need of a gym.
If not, has anyone tried any of the fitness centers in the nearby rec centers(trinidad rec or wheatley rec). Thanks
No plans to open a full scale gym. The stuff at Joe Cole Rec (Wheatley is just the school) is tucked back into a tiny room, and when I've passed it it didn't look great. But up at Trinidad Rec they actually have a nice weight room. Call them about getting access. I believe you can also get a visitors pass to use the track at Gallaudet (I think registering gets you permission for repeat visits). You might also look into Sherwood Rec.
