This is a completely different topic, but any news on the fire that happened at a home last night on Orren (I believe). Smoke filled the air for about an hour and the fire department was in full force tapping water from hydrants on Montello and Oates and Trinidad. I asked and learned from a firefighter that no one was hurt, but they were on the roof of the house with an electric saw. It was scary. Glad that no one was hurt, but am wondering what the source of the fire was.

Jiayi Zhou is an award-winning deaf artist and a first-year graduate student in the International Development program at Gallaudet. Her work will be on display at SOVA through Thursday, April 29. Learn more about her.

SOVA, located at 1359 H Street, NE, Washington, D.C., near the Gallaudet campus is an active participant in the rejuvenation of the H Street corridor.
