The Queen Vic...is expected to open in June in the Atlas District

...that's not going to happen. I won't rekindle the argument about use of the "Atlas District" moniker.

Hmm. he said we live in "a funny little area." That's one way to put it!

Great to have another place. I worry about its sustainability. Has any one been into Souk-it has good food but is a little slow. It would be great if the owner made that place a hooka bar. I think he would get a lot of business!

If this place can serve up good fish n chips I'm all over it. And if they can get open in time for World Cup that'll be one more reason to spend all my time on H Street this Summer!

Went to Souk tonight. I thought the service was really quick actually. It wasn't packed but there were alot of folks doing take out. The food was very, very good.

We got take out from Souk last Friday night. The place was full and there were people waiting for take out. The food, seriously, was amazing. I promise I have no connection to this place. But if you like middle eastern/moroccan food you have to check it out.

No hookah bar! said...

Souk's food is top notch, and it's a tiny tiny space, so PLEASE no hookah bar. There are enough of those in the city. That place needs quick turnover of people enjoying a tasty meal, not people lounging for hours on end taking up valuable seats. There's not enough space for that kind of thing anyways, and not every bar needs to have a trendy kitch element. Let's just settle for good food for once!

We will be open early for all big games, if you have a group that wants a certain game just tell me, I will open for those as well. Our fish and chips will be amazing as well as our curries, that will be using my father-in-laws' blend of spices. Thank you for all your intrest. Any questions feel free to ask or come by and let me show you the place.

Hey! are you guys gonna be working in collaboration with the pie people on the block cuz they do meat pies too! That would be cool! Maybe H st. will start to be know for some badass meat pies since its impossible to find anywhere else in this city!
