Here's the press release:
Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District are seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify and locate a suspect who committed an armed robbery of a business establishment on April 9, 2010.

Around noon on Friday, April 9, 2010, a lone suspect entered the Game Stop store located in the 1500 block of Maryland Avenue, NE. Once inside, the suspect drew a handgun from a backpack and demanded money. Two store employees complied with the gunman’s demand. The suspect obtained an undetermined amount of U.S. currency and fled the scene.

Patrons and employees of the store were not physically injured during the commission of the armed robbery.

The suspect in this case is described as a medium complexioned black male, approximately 5’10” in height, with a bush style haircut. He was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans, was carrying a black backpack, and was armed with a silver colored handgun. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who has knowledge of this case or suspect’s identity or sees him should take no action, but should immediately call police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM[E] – 1-888-919-2746. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.

Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to DC Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS and to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. If the information provided by the caller to Crime Solvers leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

He will be caught in the next 7 days. A $5000 dollar reward in this economy...

Even his mother would turn him in. For goodness sake at least 100 people would be able to pick this guy out of a line up due to the great clarity in the photo. I bet he does not serve any jail time.

FYI, for those looking used games, check out Amazon.com. They have games more than 50% off. Not quite a steal, but still a great deal.

How is the reward disbursed if the call was anonymous?
