I somehow left this off my list of events for Saturday. You won't want to make the same mistake. Here are the details:

A team of Arts Partners in Residence at the Atlas Performing Arts Center will host an Inaugural Gala and Silent Auction on Saturday, May 1, 2010. Featuring Doug Bowles and his SingCo Rhythm Orchestra, Swing Into Spring will take place from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM in the Sprenger Theatre.
Swing Into Spring is a collaborative effort benefiting Capital City Symphony, Joy of Motion Dance Center, Washington Savoyards and the In Series--- all members of the Atlas Performing Arts Center. All proceeds from the event will benefit each organizations artistic and educational programs.
After a free swing dance lesson guests will dance the night away to the sounds of Doug Bowles and his SingCo Rhythm Orchestra, a classic hot jazz and swing band. The evening will also feature a buffet dinner, desserts, and cash bar.

If you attended the Community Foundation's Hill Ball on Inauguration Day than you'll remember the band, they are great!
