2 Alarm Tire Fire at NY Ave and Kendall

There is a two alarm tire store fire with very heavy smoke at New York Ave NE and Kendall St NE. Traffic is being detoured.

Update - 1300 NY Av NE - heavy fire - working fire - FFs evac bldg - addl fire units requested - no injuries - expect some traffic issues

Not a good sign.  Tire fires are tough to extinguish. I believe the one at Jimmy's Tire (1215 K Street) burned for 3 days.
