Chicago Police Supt.: But it Happened INSIDE!

I occasionally hear people complain about MPD omitting certain crimes from reports, or otherwise under reporting numbers. One thing's clear, the District's got nothing on Chicago, where they are now subdividing homicides into outdoor homicides, and indoor homicides. Despite the fact that this sounds like an Onion article, I swear that I am not making it up. Chicago has been experiencing a rise in homicides this year, and the Police Superintendent. is trying to argue that, while police can have a role in preventing outdoor homicides, there is little they can do about indoor ones. Here's the money quote:

“Those homicides that are outdoors — the ones that I do believe we have a good possibility of preventing — we’re around 98 homicides for Chicago outdoors. That’s as low as it’s ever been, except for 2007, when I believe we had 97 homicides outdoors as of this date,”

Both IMGoph and I work for the District Government as consultants. Sinclair Skinner's firm "Looking At Porn On The Job Solutions, LLC" hired us as part of a no-bid contract.

Does any one know if there is a loud outdoor concert going on in Trinidad? I hear the music but can't tell where it is coming from.

I'm told it was coming from RFK. It seemed to loud to me, but it did end with the fireworks.
