Horror at the Rock & Roll Hotel

Horror films that is. I love scary movies, and I'm thrilled that the Rock and Roll Hotel (1353 H Street) is making this a semi-regular event. I recently watched Tenebre (it really is better than Suspiria or Profundo Rosso), and loved it. Can a Dario Argento film at the Hotel be far off?

Here (from the Hotel website) is the info for the next showing (Sunday May 23rd):

Hotel Horror Show presents

TOYS GONE BAD...

Child's Play 7:00pm
1988
A chubby toy doll named Chucky becomes an instrument of terror in director Tom Holland's unnerving tale of horror.

Phantasm 8:30pm
1979
Often considered one of the icons of 1970s independent horror cinema, director Don Coscarelli's classic nail-biter follows two boys who, in pursuit of an odd-looking grave robber, may wind up as the newest members of a freshly dead slave race.

Puppet Master 10:00
1989
In director David Schmoeller's taut chiller, perverse master puppeteer Andre Toulon (William Hickey) harnesses the power of ancient Egyptian magic to breathe life into his crew of marionettes, who morph into demonic killers.

Free popcorn and Themed drink Specials.

Open @ 6pm
Movies @ 7pm

Did you know that before you came to the Hotel to drink PBR and hit on girls (and boys) every Saturday night we were a Funeral Home for almost 50 years? That's right, this sucker is haunted to all hell. Horror Movie Triple Feature on "No Show Sundays". Downstairs, 10 Foot screen, Massive sound system, Creepy Old Church Pew seating.
