Two Photos Of H Street Construction

I'd say these two shots pretty much sum up the current state of construction on H Street at the moment. We're definitely looking to the future, but we're not quite there yet.

I am seriously loving the street map signage. Where is this located?

Kevin,
these are going up in the west end of the Corridor.

That is very cool! How about putting a "you are here" type icon on the signs? Tourists could track their progress down H.

That sign looks better close up than actually hanging on the sign posts. It sorts look like a spider web or something. Poor choice of a graphic for a street logo.

You will only have to look down to figure out where you are. The intersection street name is embedded in the sidewalk. I actually like that.

big ups on the new light posts/lights, signs and the streetscape in general. very positive vibes are already emanating.

Is it me or does the 300-block of H (even side) seem to have TOO many street lights? They are like 5-feet apart...

Who would have ever thought someone would find a way to complain about too many street lights on H St. I hate those newly paved roads too, I mean really, do we have to ensure that they are smooth and everything! Jesus.

Agree with Not on Parker.
No need to put modern streetlighting so close together to get adequate light. They amount to visual clutter.
The pierced signs are strange. Looks like Chinese, and bind H Street to a red/black color scheme.
Did anyone coordinate design continuity for the Corridor?

I believe the extra light poles are there to support and provide power to the overhead lines.

i like the HStreet signs. and as such, they shall remain. unless, of course, someone else disagrees with me.

but how odd would that be?????

hence forward, Sir H!

The signs are ok....they just shouldn't be red. IRed goes back to the really bad slogan "H is for Hot". The color scheme should have remained the same as the now out of date banners.
