Bars Can Open Early For World Cup

It's official (via mikedebonis on Twitter):

And it's done...bars can open early to show live World Cup games. But liquor-service will not change.


Watch the game in the bar, but no early drinking. Time to stock up on Bitburger Drive?

    Just checked out the link...hmm...anyone know if the Bitburger beer available at local grocery stores?

    I moved down here just before the 06 World Cup - I think Argo was the only one of the "new" bars around at the time. Man, does that put it in perspective how far things have come in a short time.

    So which places are going to open for the (USA) games? Pug? Star&Shamrock?

    BFD. Bars can serve as early as 8 am and the games start at the earliest 7:30 am. If you can't wait 30 minutes, then you really have a problem.
