Because it's a hot day some people will be tempted to open hydrants for kids. But this is really dangerous because it can mean firefighters can't get enough water pressure if a home or business does catch fire. Please call 911 to report any open hydrants.

Hey, does anyone know what the current status of the trash site that is the Capitol Oasis project is? It's pictured here on 12th & Florida. I've called the realtor on the project website and get a voice mail. Anyone got any ideas/solutions?
Also, my home was broken into on Tuesday at lunchtime. Just encourage everyone to take extra care to lock stuff down and keep eyes open for suspicious activity. And if you find an apple laptop in your yard, i think it's mine.
michael,
do you live on Florida?
If so what is it with these break ins?
There was an open hydrant the other day near me. The kids were playing in it so I hated to do this, but I texted 50411. Prefix your text with something to let them know it should go to MPD's 5th district, like MPD-5D, then Open hydrant at....in....(e.g. Trinidad). It was shut down really quick.
or, it could be mine as it was taken on April 25th while we werein the house sleeping. Our alarm was on, but they busted a back window glass, unlocked the window and proceded to come in. That window is now armed.
Also, we now have lowjack on the new Mac.
Hey Jessica,
Indeed I do live on Florida. The break-in tripped our alarm and brought the cops, but they still managed to grab anything not tied down and abscond. Even more reason to be vigilant.
Thanks for the info Michael.
Can someone please explain to me how these guys can bust windows, trip alarms and make it down the street carrying armfulls of stuff and not get caught?
