An Invite From Congressional Chorus

This event isn't in the immediate area, but it's the Congressional Chorus, which is based at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. And, it sounds like a good time. Check it out:

This Saturday night, June 5, at 8pm, we at the Congressional Chorus are celebrating the end of a successful season with "Rodgers, Hammerstein, Kern, and Hart: An Evening of American Masters."

We'll be singing your favorite tunes from Oklahoma, The Sound of Music, Showboat, South Pacific, State Fair, and other classics like "The Way You Look Tonight."

Joining us will be members of the American Youth Chorus, ages 8-14 - they are insanely cute and they sound great too! The kids have also had an exciting year, singing earlier this year at the State Department for Secretary Clinton.

The best thing about the concert? Much of the proceeds will go to support those kids. We established the American Youth Chorus in 2008 to give kids a chance to learn about singing and performing - a lot of them go to schools where arts programs are being cut or downsized.

What's not to love? An evening of beautiful music, all for a good cause.

So, in summary:

The Congressional Chorus and American Youth Chorus Present:
"Rodgers, Hammerstein, Kern, and Hart: An Evening of American Masters"
Saturday, June 5, 8pm
Duke Ellington School of the Arts
3555 R Street NW

Tickets available at the door - $28 for Adults and $15 for Students and Seniors
(the theater fits 800 people, so don't worry about us getting sold out)

This was an excellent concert. Please bring Nico back to H street again. We will find him a better seat than a bar stool next time.

Yeah H Street! We appreciate all your support. It's great to watch the transformation even with all the traffic troubles. You're going to be the Hotspot of the Hot!

Thank you so much for advertising our concert. We had a crowd of more than 600 and it was a great show. We look forward to having the whole H Street crowd join us for our events in the fall!
