and if you'll note, there are an equal number of stupid comments to go along with the well-thought-out ones.

IMGoph,
some people are just ignorant. Reminds me of the time someone told me (in 2001) that I'd almost certainly get shot and killed if I moved to NE.

You two did a great job of summing up an answer.

Yeah... Saw you guys responding there earlier. Good job.

And I wouldn't normally do this, but it should be "insight," (as in insightful) not "incite" (as in inciting a riot).

Much appreciated 4:59,
stupid typo, and definitely not my intended meaning.

I try to get things right, but typos are a reality when you self-edit.

I also noticed use of "incite" instead of "insight," but I actually thought it was a brilliant play on words. After all, although you hope that blog comments will offer insight, what you often get instead is stuff designed to incite.

Mose, I may have had a slight Freudian slip on that one.

Or maybe I've just seen too many Enzyte commercials and can't spell anymore.

Independent of where someone is looking, be advised that the mortgage interest deduction is in the crosshairs:

If the deduction is axed it will decrease purchasing power, and put downward pressure on prices already depressed by irresponsible borrowing.

The positive side is it will be a buying opportunity for those with capital to invest.
