World Cup on H Street

I've got stuff going on this afternoon, but HStreetDC reports (via Twitter) on H Street spots to watch:

HstreetDC
WORLD CUP on #HSt for this weekend - @StickyRiceDC @HStcountryClub @ThePug @ArgonautDC @BiergartenHaus Not happy here, you won't be happy.

I know for a fact that Biergarten Haus and H Street Country Club (weekend only) will be open early for games. The Argonaut is always open at 10am Saturday and Sunday. Sticky Rice is open everyday starting at 11:30am. The Pug opens at 11:30 Saturday and Sunday.

Update
+++++++++++++++

Via HStreetDC:
Everyone will have special hours because of the time difference from SA.
Biergarten opens at 9 with a good breakfast menu. Better than good - great! You have permission to drink beer for breakfast during World Cup.
H Street Country Club opens their downstairs at 10 Saturday and Sunday with the El Norte menu.
Argonaut always opens at 10 am Saturday and Sunday. First come, first served on TVs so baseball fans might grab the remotes.
Sticky Rice is opening early. Sushi for breakfast is fine.
TonyT will open the Pug at 10 and serve his famous brunch.
Star and Shamrock opens at 11 seven days a week, but don't be surprised to see those doors unlock earlier.

Most of these are kid-friendly. Nice to see since the games are during the day and there are lots of little soccer player/fans in the H Street universe who will grow up to provide the next generation of our customer base.

Please leave your kids at home with the babysitter.

Anon 3:37 - go back to the suburbs or far NW.

Local customer and long-term NE resident spending more on H street than you can imagine (or probably earn (and a, god forbid, parent, with a kid who had a great time at Biergarten today). No one seemed to have a problem and the staff were great.

These establishments are a fantastic addition to the neighborhood.

Hopefully, your attitude is not welcomed so cheerfully.

+3, and the H St proprietors will agree that my kids are more pleasant and far less whiny than anon 3:37, even when they are whining.
