Win 2 Tickets to Summer's New Years Eve at Rock & Roll Hotel
The Rock & Roll Hotel has kindly given me two general admission tickets to give away to readers. Here's how you can win the two tickets:
Share your ideal day or night on H Street. Be specific. Where will you go, what will you eat and drink? Will you hit the farmers market, or maybe take in a show? If you already log in to comment you're golden because I can identify you when I pick a winner (which I will do on Friday). If, however, you happen to be one of the anonymous masses, we'll have to do this slightly differently. You can either just register (probably the easiest thing), or you can leave your email (e.g. inked78[at]hotmail.com) in your comment. Either way you need to contact me to get your two free tickets after I announce the winner. And if you don't win, you can still buy tickets online. So, let the games begin...

Sounds fresh and clean
Vaginal discharge and smell is considered a major problem by many women. But actually it's during the normal discharge process that the vagina cleanses itself. However, if smell and discharge become an issue for you, try following these helpful tips:
•Always wipe from front to back.
•Keep Summer's Eve Cleansing Cloths or Feminine Deodorant Spray with you to help control odor when you're on the go.
•If your vaginal discharge is of an unusual amount, color or odor, see a doctor right away.
Well, I guess Ro and Sunny Florida Avenue aren't going to win those tickets.
The shit, you say. My perfect H St. Day would begin with a stroll up 6th St. to my favorite Mac and Cheese spot in the DC Farmer's Market for some carbs to start my day. Then, I'd head down 6th to my front yard to play a little cornhole and have a King Cobra procured, as well, from the DC Farmer's market. Once my malt liquor buzz has set in, I'll head to see Mohamed at the corner store on 6th and K for a couple more libations, then maybe bounce over to the pretentious farmer's market to gawk at and/or harass the aging hipsters with children. I might eat some raw corn while there, gotta keep my carb load up. After that, I'll probably go try to buy some 2 to 1 foodstamps in front of Murray's that I will turn into chicken nuggets for the remainder of my walk. Although I've snubbed 6th St. Jamaican this time, I will most certainly have some on my way home. Now that my hood business is done, I will begin my hike to the 1200 block of H. Along the way, I will frequent some nameless (or named) carryout for some more King Cobra, then, with healthy buzz in hand, I will do some shopping at the Unik Style (fyi, sometimes I feel castrated), then spew all the hate and vigor I can muster at the Taylor Sub shop, home of the worst sandwiches, well, anywhere. After that's out of me, I'll head to the Philly water ice for a real sandwich, then stumble bar to bar until I get to the Star and Shamrock, where I will challege them to a fight with Deli City. Along the way, I have also picked up my drycleaning and bought my lady some gold at the H Street Connection. Oh, and I'd also go ahead and pick up a fishing license at the hardware store. Drunk, i'd get some H and D's action for the walk to the Jamaican on 6th, then lather, rinse, and repeat. ywburns@yahoo.com
I would probably sleep in, stop by Sidamo for a coffee, then check out the H St. farmers market to pick up some tasty bread and fresh meat. After that, I would cook breakfast and wander up to Sova to be productive for a while. After that, I would check out an HD Opera at the Atlas and go somewhere for dinner, most likely Granville or the Biergarten depending on the crowd. Then dessert at Philly Water Ice and some live music at the R&R or Red and Black followed by a nightcap at Toyland.
Lot of other good food and entertainment contenders, but for an ideal day, gotta go with the basics.
