Food & Beer Pairing at Little Miss Whiskey's

CHEF GRAIG GLUFLING OF LIBERTY TREE
PRESENTS A SPECIAL FOUR COURSE
FOOD AND BEER PAIRING MENU

Tuesday, 7/27, from 6 to 8 PM at
Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar
1104 H St NE DC
$25 for four pairings

Grilled East Coast Oyster w/ a Corn, Spinach and Horseradish Cream
paired w/ Weihenstephaner Hefe-Weissbier
the master model for wheat beers: light and crisp w/ frothy yeast and a perfect balance of malts against traditional weissbier flavors of banana and clove. This contrasts the richness of the dish and hopefully cleanses the palate.

Bacon Wrapped Sea Scallop w/ a Spicy Vermont Maple Syrup Glaze
paired w/ Kulmbacher Eku 28
we chose this high-octane doppelback suggesting rum-raisin, vanilla, and caramel
in an effort to extend the massive flavors of the scallop/syrup/bacon combo

Porcini Crusted Pork Tenderloin w/ a White Wine Dijon Cream
paired w/ Bear Republic Red Rocket Ale
this is a bold American red ale w/ fruity hops balanced against caramel malts; we selected this match to highlight the bitter hops against the robust flavors of the food

Fresh Cherry and Fuji Apple Crisp w/ Brown Sugar & Oats Topped w/ Fresh Whipped Cream paired w/ Founders Cerise
this refreshing seasonal ale is fermented w/ Michigan cherries. By itself it is tart and sweet; paired w/ this desert it becomes particularly tart, so be sure to taste the beer before this dish

Food portions are small; servings of beer are 4-5 ounces. In order to properly prepare, we can only serve the full tasting of four courses. We do this because we love trying to bring special events to life and we sincerely hope you enjoy this as much as we do. Thank you!
