Call for Volunteers: Literacy For Life

Announcement:

Volunteers Needed
On September 11, Gallaudet University Community Service Programs and the Trinidad Neighborhood Association, will be co-hosting a LITERACY for LIFE event at the newly renovated Cole Recreation Center. Volunteers are needed to help with this exciting event, which will involve a book distribution, literacy poster contest, inspirational movies, ASL story-time and much more.

Please lend a hand and be a part of this effort to encourage and promote literacy skills among the young residents living in the Trinidad neighborhood right next door.

This event is made possible by a generous grant from Serve D. C.—the Mayor's Office on Volunteerism.

This sounds like a great event, my wife and I will definitely try to help. You should respost this closer to September 11th, just as a reminder.
