Please, please tell me there is a gym.

If not, why can't a Results, WSC, or Gold's open up shop?

No gym. Whoever wrote the press release screwed up twice. This is neither a fitness center, nor a recreation center. It's technically a community center. I'm told this means they didn't need to build a gym. You can, however, work out at either Sherwood, or the Trinidad Rec.

1200 block of Neal Street. Next to the old Joe Cole.

oh geez. i thought that was a school they were building. So what does one do in a community center?

It's connected to the school. I don't know all the intimate details of what's inside because the plans have changed a could of times since I saw the materials.

Boo on there not being a gym. I'm glad it's opening up. Why isn't there a gym?

Sorry, I meant there is no weight room. There is a gym in which you can play basketball. It sounded to me like the commentor was asking for weights/machines.

If you want a gym, go to Sherwood. It's not the fanciest thing, but it get's the job done.

How much is the membership at Sherwood?

Seems odd that there isn't a private gym facility anywhere in Near Northeast. WSC would make a killing on the west end of H St.

Save the comments about PT and Yoga. I know they exist. I'm not interested in them.

Sherwood is roughly $125 for a year or $20 a month if you want monthly.

Speaking of gyms, I noticed paper covering the windows of Will Power. Is this some kind of progress in replacing it with something else. That is one of the largest spaces on H St

S,
a few parties have expressed interest in that space. I'll look into what's happening tomorrow.
