So What Are You Doing Tonight?
Photo by Frozen Tropics Flickr pool user Lani Barbitta
I'm planning to hit up the Harry Thomas meet and greet (6-8pm at Conner Contemporary, 1358 Florida Ave) with friends and then head down to watch Donnie Darko and get some bar-b-que for the final NoMA Summer Screen film of 2010 (7pm for djs, grabbing a spot, frisbee, and food, 9pm for the film, 2nd and L Street NE).
But what else is going on around the hood?
Mojito Madness at Langston Bar and Grille: 1831 Benning Road. Drop by for happy hour from 4:30-7:30pm
Booze Clues at the Argonaut: raise a pint while you show off your arcane knowledge. Doors open at 5pm, trivia starts at 8pm, happy hour 5-7pm. Remember, they have food, and the patio is open. 1433 H Street.
Show and Tell: Open Mic and Beyond at Sova: 8pm, show up early for happy hour (5-7:30pm for 1/2 price beer and wine). 1359 H Street.
Trivia Night at Rock and Roll Hotel: 7:30pm upstairs 1/2 price burgers and $3 rail drinks. 1353 H Street.
The DC Black Theater Festival at the Atlas: Catch Master Plan (The) or Daddy, Where Are You? Both shows $15, 8m. 1333 H Street.
Discount Belgian Beers at Dr. Granville's: $5 Bavik Hoegaarden and Leffe. 1238 H Street.
Shark Week at The Red and the Black: Watch the carnage and enjoy $1 off Belgian style whites (Allagash and Bell's Oberon) in honor of the Great White.
