Prince of Petworth has a posting up asking about this new business on H Street. Chuck's Wagon Bar-B-Q replaces Inspire Pizzeria (which replaced long-time tenant Platinum Catering. I believe Platinum Catering provided the original food at the H Street Martini Lounge, and you may have sampled offerings from Inspire Pizzeria at the 2009 H Street Festival. I actually just answered an email about Chuck's the day before yesterday. I haven't stopped by, or tried the bar-b-q yet. I discovered that there is a Chuck's Wagon Bar-b-q based in Bowie, Maryland, and I suspect that the two locations may be connected, but I wasn't able to get through a person at the 240 number.
I do recall that they had a couple of small tables in the space when it was still Platinum, but I don't know if they still have those, or if it's basically a carryout/catering business. This is located at 650 H Street, which seems to be kind of a tough spot for new businesses. Share your review, or any additional info that you may have.

I'm curious to hear if anyone has tried this place yet. I'm looking forward to trying it. I was, however, really surprised to see them here all of a sudden and there was never any discussion about them on FT. Was anyone in their ANC District aware that they were coming?
I am not 100% sure but I think it just catering. Could be wrong though.

Damn. It's a shame they're catering only. That smoke ring on the ribs means it's the real deal bbq.
The BBQ IS the real deal! Strictly carry-out, and they are open on weekends only for now. The ribs and pulled pork are delicious – even with no BBQ sauce. Their home-made sauces are delicious and make the food taste even better. The sides are great too! -CARSON
Chuck's wagon is the best barbecue in the DMV! Chuck's barbecue has won several awards. They are open only on the weekends right now but pass the word. They have delicious ribs and the sides are the bomb! The also cater. Consider the neighborhood blessed because of the great food you now have access to because it is in a great location. We can't wait until they can expand in Maryland.

I found this review on yahoo --> http://local.yahoo.com/info-44953709-chuck-s-wagon-barbeque-bowie?tab=reviews#reviews
The food at Chuck's Wagon Bar-B-Q is delicious! The ribs are moist and taste great with or without the sauce. The pulled pork sandwiches are my favorite. The meat is tender and has a wonderful flavor. My daughter loves the pulled chicken sandwiches. The homemade sauces and sides are the right compliment. I heard that they just added desserts. Count me in as a repeat customer, especially since their weekend hours match perfectly with my diet cheat days. :)
Hey re BBQ Main Street Brasserie Carry-Out in Bowie won the Readers Choice for Best BBQ and something like 10 other BESTS. Great Sandwich, Great Food its worth checking out.
If that's the main street carry out on old annapolis rd. I wouldn't waist my gas, I stopped on my way to a friends house and was disappointed. I figured everyone has a bad day, I stopped again going to the same friends house and was really disappointed. If they were voted best anything I would like to see the reviewers credentials. To be fair I was told their catered items are pretty good so maybe they should stick to that.
