DCmud: Uline Arena Update
DCmud has a general update on Jamal Douglas' Uline Arena project. Unsurprisingly, nothing appears to be happening soon.

I bought a house at 3rd and L almost ten years ago now, and can remember, not so fondly, the days when the Uline Alena was a garbage transfer station. There was a stench in the summer...and please, we won't even begin to talk about the rat population...the community staged an uprising and the result was that Waste Management had to provide every house within a 4 block radius with room air conditioners...since we couldn't open our windows to enjoy the not very fresh air. Then WM cleared out and made room for the current use as parking lot for the Metro. Even if it takes another two years to see this property revitalized, it's better than it was.
