It's too bad the Moonie Times forgot to mention the delectable Jamaican offerings at Phish Tea and Naby's Island, to say nothing of the lunchtime fare offered at ANM, and the desserts to be enjoyed at Sweets & Treats.
A bit unfair, Jaime. I don't think the author was trying to put out a plenary list. I think here are examples. Besides, I am grateful that Phish Tea was forgotten. It was simply awful. Alexander Supertramp.
I didn't suggest he was trying to put out a plenary list. Think of it this way: what does every place in my list have in common with the author's choice of Pap & Petey's?
Just to hijack the thread here for a moment. Does anyone know what's happening to the building that's attached to Horace & Dickey's but fronts H Street? Looks like it's getting a makeover in H&D colors.
Are H&D selling out to the implacable forces of cleanliness and fresh paint? Outrage!!
Anon, I would love if that's true: Naby's was our go-to place whenever we didn't feel like cooking. But the owner, Andrew, told me before they closed that he was looking to move to U Street. If he's planning on staying here, that would be awesome.

Check out the Washington Times giving props to Pap & Petey's.

i thought nabys was closed.
Jamie some people are helpless, I thought your post was hilarious.
It's interesting that the H Street "neighborhood" is 15 blocks long. Imagine how many different neighborhoods are in other 15 block stretches of DC!

3:15,
all the places Jamie mentioned are closed, as is Pap and Petey's.
Oboe,
I don't think there's a tenant yet. The property owner insists on doing his own renovations (I wouldn't exactly call it top notch work).
Naby's is actually looking for another location on H.
