H is For Halloween

Lot's of great stuff going on all Halloween weekend on and around H Street. This is just a very preliminary listing. I'll update it as I get more stuff.

Friday:

Hollowfest- a family oriented event at Sherwood Rec (12th and G). Costume contest, games, refreshments. 5-7:30pm.

Flirt Friday- XII's (link plays music) daily haapy hour offers drink specials from 5-8pm. Followed by Flirt Friday, with Ciroc open bar from 10-11pm.

Thriller on H Street- a massive crowd of the undead gather to do their thing in the Autozone lot. 9pm, 1200 block of H Street.

Mascarade Halloween Party and Show- Rock and Roll Hotel (1353 H Street). Doors open 8pm. Show starts at 9pm. Free if you wear a mask, but $5 with no mask. Catch music from:

Grab My (Scary) Junk Burlesque and Game Show- Palace of Wonders (1210 H Street) presents a chance to see a strip tease, and maybe win a prize. $10. Shows at 9 and 10pm. Doors open at 6pm. 1210 H Street.


Night of the Living Dead- Catch this zombie classic at the Atlas (1333 H Street). 11pm $5.

Saturday:

Voodoo Nights - Mayhem, Music and Ghoulesque at Palace of Wonders! Get Spooked with variety how including, burlesque, sideshow and live music entertainment from The Ubangis. Live Go GoDancing by Candy Del Rio!(post show...post post show - DJ Mellie Mel. Costume Contest w/Prizes
Doors 8pm. Show 9pm. $15.

DC Roller Girls Garage Rock and Soul Halloween Party!- Rock and Roll Hotel (1335 H Street)

Halloween at the Country Club- The H Street Country Club (1335 H Street) offers an extended happy hour, drink specials, costume contest (with prizes), Bewitching Punch, music from DJ Capitol K, and no cover. The fun starts at 5pm

Little Miss Whiskey's Halloween Ball -SPOOKtacular DJs ALL GOOD FUNK ALLIANCE, JUAN ZAPATA, JAESUNEL, and DJ MEEGS. $3 PBR Tallboys all night, and make messy as we check out the video release for AGFA's single "Slingshot Boogie." Tickets are $15 and must be purchased online.
No costume, no entry, no joke.

Sunday:

Frightening Films- The Atlas presents four films from way back in the day.

The Bat featuring Agnes Moorehead from Bewitched at 2pm
House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price at 3:30pm
Little Shop of Horrors (the original with a young Jack Nicholson) at 5pm
The Brain That Wouldn't Die, a camp classic, at 6:30pm

Admission to each film is $5. The Halloween 4 Film Package is $10. Pay one price and stay all day!

H Street Halloween Bash- Rock and Roll Hotel parties with The Pimps of Joytime, and Nayas. Doors 8pm, Show 9pm $15
