No Shooting in the 1600 Block of L Street

Dcfireems reports a shooting in the alley of the 1600 block of L Street. This is in Carver Terrace. This is also a preliminary report (meaning 911 got a call about a shooting), not an MPD report.

UPDATE

The reported shooting didn't happen. I called in to verify, and it really was just someone who was on pcp, or something similar who believed he had been shot.

Cool! Maybe we can get gray to supply bullets to these retards, and then they'll just kill themselves off!

Is this really in Carver Terrace? Isn't the 1600 Block of L just one off of Bladensburg, by the diner and the new condos? Can you clarify? Thanks.

not a shooting. individual on pcp thought he was shot.

anyone have any more info? really a pcp high false alarm?

If you look on google maps in that area you'll see they label Carver/Langston as the area south of Maryland ave, north of Benning, east of 17th. This isn't quite Carver/Langston.
I saw some cops driving full speed down L street towards the Carver apartments at around 11ish last night. Hopefully that means they knew who the suspect was or had a lead

9:07,
I would consider it Carver Terrace. The boundaries you just gave are closer to Langston Terrace (not just "the Dwellings"), which is a separate neighborhood. They two are frequently lumped together because the lines are kind of blurry, and Carver Terrace is small.

Threadjack:

Police have charged a 19 year old in the murder of Joseph Alonzo Sharps Jr. on Nov. 8.

Apparently, this is a guy who had already been charged with another murder, but was walking around anyhow.

Yay D.C. justice system!

Read the article - he was already in custody from the other murder when they pinned the earlier shooting on him.
