Thanks DCBOEE!

Yeah, you might need to wait a while.  I just glanced at the election results so far and discovered that a friend appeared to be losing badly percentage wise. Except that DCBOEE only has recorded one vote in that race. That particular race is in 5B. Some of the races in 6A are further along.

UPDATE
+++++++++++++

ANC 5B

Thalia Wiggins (endorsed) is behind George Jackson 82/80. 5B06.
Laura Casperson (endorsed) against two former ANCs David Hooper (current) and Arthur Yarborough.  62/164/103.
Tina Laskaris (endorsed) v. Cornell Wise: 198/119.
Camille Tucker (endorsed) v. India Henderson: 106/165

Unfortunately none of the 5B endorsed candidates for ANC landed the first on ballot spot. That makes it very tough for an ANC spot. Let's hope for the best.

ANC 6A

Adam Healy and Sharee Lawler appear to be far ahead for the newcomers. Current officeholders are holding steady.

Isn't this a little harsh, "Arthur "do nothing" Yarborough"? Or at least uneven, as you don't denigrate other candidate. BTW he came in second.

The other message is that endorsements here and on other blogs really don't hold much sway consistently in 5B. General pounding the pavement again seemed to trust Laskaris, Wiggins over the top. While Hooper, and Henderson, were formidable incumbents with name recognition.

There is no mandate for Hooper as if he was facing one good challenger vs two good ones he would have probally lost.

A message to all those elected, we need to come together and get things done. Remember recalls are possible.

It's a shame 5B residents are content with how things are/have been. I see a lot of room for improvement and very little possibility for achieving it when you just elect the status quo.

Looking for something new

What's the story with 6C05? DCBOEE shows Tony with a 13 vote lead, are those results final?

I hope Thalia can surpass Jackson!! I live in 5B06 and have never seen Jackson until I went to vote last night. Thalia is out there and gets things done (not saying that Jackson won't if elected), I don't like the "lets try something new" attitude.

Thalia's numbers are slightly wider. Although they had the lowest turn out past the current numbers.

DCBOEE has to "certify" the results. Thereafter I suspect Brian Cox will request a recount.

No surprise that Richardson carried Precinct 83 while Cox carried Precinct 84. Zatkowski pretty much split the Precincts and therefore didn't harm either candidate.

Sad to see Nikki lost in 6A 07. Hope she'll do committee work, though!

Also sad to see the low voter turn- out in the ANC- only 300ish votes cast for ANC rep.

Inked, are ANCs divided by # of residents or registered voters? There are a lot of kids in 6A07, so maybe fewer registered voters there than in other ANCs.
