Happy 4th Anniversary to the Pug!

DSC_0163

Come out and celebrate with Tony T. and the rest of the gang:

well here we are,
just a few days out from the pug's anniversary and there isn't an ice storm in sight. to celebrate, we are going to be donating ten per cent of this weekends ring to the lustgarten foundation for pancreatic cancer research. the actual anniversary date is the 13th, but recognizing that it can be tough for some to drink on sunday, we are going to spread the festivities out for the whole weekend. on friday night from 9 til 11, for a $5.00 donation, we are going to be selling ic lights and leinies for $2.00. gotta get rid of that stuff, because once the super bowl is over, does anyone really care about pittsburgh or green bay? saturday we are going to be doing our family friendly brunch with chocolate chip pancakes on special. bring the kids so they can see where they'll be in 18 years. to close off the weekend, we'll be doing $2.00 natty bo's after a $5.00 donation from 6 'til 8pm. also we finally got the rock em sock em robots back in so we will be running fights all night. $5.00 entry fee and winner gets a shot of oh i don't know, maybe whisky. if we can figure it out, we might make it a full on tournament
with the winner getting some kind of pug gift certificate.

as always, thanks for your continued support,
tonyt
the pug
ps i would be remiss, if i didn't take this time to thank my wife and staff for their
tireless contributions and help, and of course if i don't mention father steve's
birthday, i may suffer eternal damnation. (even though he rarely calls or writes).

while, i'm thanking people, let me thank inked for running this blog, giving me something to do when i'm stuck in the house, and helping publicize the pug in exchange for a few free shots of irish whisky.

Alan,
that's Erik from Tacos Impala & Toki Underground. He used to do brunch at the Pug. Once Toki is up and running he'll be handling the food for the Pug. One amazing thing about H Street is how much everyone really works together on all the different spots. I can't wait for Toki to open. In other exciting news, I've heard that Tacos Impala is shopping for a permanent home on H:). All the guys involved (Troy, Erik, & Omar) are super local, and terrific guys. We should really support them.

super local is super awesome. I knew a guy who was super local, but he ate too many chicken wings and had to move.

Thank you Tony for everything. Couldn't do what i do if it wasn't for you and it wasn't for the Pug. I can't wait to DJ at FruitBat tonight and drive you and chaz insane. I also heard Jackson makes a great pimento and cheese sandwich and grilled half smokes with sunny-side up eggs.

we are well on our way to a nice donation to the lustgarten foundation, but i'ld like to give more. today is the actual anniversary, and from 6 'til 8 tonight, a $5 dollar donation gets you $2 natty bo's . also we are going to going to be running rock em sock robot bouts all night. $5 per fight, fight winner gets a shot and if we can set up a tournament, winner gets a pug gift certificate. hope to see you again tonight.
