Starting next week the Argonaut will serve lunch starting at 11:30am Wednesday through Friday. They already serve a brunch/lunch menu Saturday and Sunday. The Argonaut is located at 1433 H Street.

I'm curious where the lunch crowds come from. Carloads of people from the SEC or office buildings up in NOMA?
@ scenic artisan: Taylor's gourmet, Sidamo coffee and tea, Inspire BBQ, The Diner, Taste of Jamaica, Horace and Dickeys, and other small delis. Not many sitdown restaurants though, so once again the Argo is a trailblazer.
Scenic Artisan and 9:02, Thankfully, we actually have a few more options than that. Sitdown lunch options on H are thus: Sova, Star and Shamrock, Dangerously Delicious Pies, Sticky Rice, Taylor, Taste of Jamaica, Sidamo, and Ethiopic (Friday-Sunday only at Ethiopic). Just off H I'd like to throw in the Capital City Diner, and the newly renamed (what is it now?) Korean place that I like in the Florida Market. If you want carryout on H you obviously have more options, with top picks of Tony's, Danny's, Tacos Impala, Horace and Dickie's, Major's, and Grace Deli. If you are in the Market pick up a sandwich from Litteri's. As you may have noticed, my lists are organized by geography, not preference.

Stay at haome mom perhaps or even folks who telework?
I'll be there on Fridays.
i've been waiting for this, great time to bring the kids to the argo for us work at home dads. it'll be great to have this lunch option on H street.
That's a very wise decision. H street needs more places open for lunch during the week
good news! where are the other places i can get lunch on h on a weekday?

And yes, Inspire Bar-B-Q as well. They have a couple of tables.
@Scenic Artisan & 9:20,
Liberty Tree also serves lunch daily. Totally slipped my mind even though I've enjoyed lunch there more than once.
thanks! yeah, i guess i was thinking more of sit down places.
People in the industry are always looking for places to eat before their shifts too so I definitely think the Argo will get some business from them.
I'll be there on Fridays.
I'll be there Wednesdays through Fridays...
Just remembered that Tuesday doesn't fall between Wed-Fri.
