Fight Breast Cancer at the Pug
Capital Breast Care Center's (CBCC) Young Professional Advisory Council (YPAC). is holding a happy hour on Saturday, 7-9 pm, to raise money for the Center.
CBCC is an initiative of the Lombardi Center at Georgetown and is located at 650 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. The Center seeks "to provide and maximize comprehensive culturally-appropriate breast cancer screening services and promote breast health and wellness to women in the metropolitan DC area, regardless of the ability to pay.
"CBCC is the only community-based mammography facility in the Washington, DC area which utilizes a comprehensive community health approach to address three goals: 1) reduce known barriers for breast cancer screening; 2) increase breast cancer screening rates among women of racial/ethnic minorities; and 3) enhance community awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer."
YPAC seeks to promote CBCC's mission via social media and events that attract a younger crowd. CBCC helps some of the least advantaged people in the city and we would love more people to know about it.
