It's hard to believe it's been a year, but owner Scott Hamilton swears it's true. To commemorate the occasion he's offering a special deal to his neighbors:
Today marks our One Year Anniversary and we want to give a little something back to the neighborhood that has been so great to us so from today thru Sunday we will offering 25% to everyone with a 20002 license. The support of the residents and the teamwork with the other restaurants has been truly stunning and we are thrilled to be a part of the new and improved H St.
Liberty Tree is located at 1016 H Street.

That's cool! I went to Liberty Tree for the first time on Sunday for brunch and I wasn't disappointed. I will try to make it back soon. This little discount is just another push as I live 5 blocks away. Besides, I think the lobster mac is calling my name!
Random, but I saw today on 1st street that some sort of Raw bar with roof/outdoor dining is going in above Potbelly in Constitution Square. Dunno if this is old news.
I love Liberty Tree! The food is delicious, it's never crowded and the ambiance is great. This discount is great - I live 4 blocks from there! Here's to many years, guys!
@DCjaded - it's probably for Watershed, the seafood restaurant the owners of Equinox are opening in the Hilton Garden Inn in NOMA. It's supposed to open in April.

Then get the fu*k out of DC you gentrificat-ing lame excuse of a human being! Being nostalgic about your out of state license is borderline delusional and outright childish.
But it sounds so cool to say things about DC, licenses, and voting even if it is stupid. Nobody expects to be challenged on things like that. Its also cool to say things like "Marion Barry smokes crack and gets reelected".

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I live in DC and pay DC income tax, and retail tax. I do not drive in DC. I am originally from a swing state. I have no desire to see the GOP come to power in my or any other state considering their current policy platform. I am not very nostalgic about my state, to be honest, but it's in interesting suggestion.
I also think you meant 'gentrifying' but 'gentrificating' does have a certain ring to it.
Great job. My favorite place on h street. You guys have put a lot of hardworking into the neighborhood and thanks for giving back.
Off-topic: has anyone noticed that Chuck's Wagon BBQ has re-opened as Inspire Me BBQ? Same people? Same stuff? Dunno. Anyone here tried it?

I believe Inspire is the previous tenant/owner that had a catering service at that location before Chuck's Wagon came in. An apparent business dispute between Chuck's and the owner forced Chuck's to move out and then Inspire opened up again shortly after, offering BBQ.
That is just an outsider's opinion how it went down, someone can set me straight if I'm off.
